The Foods Your Diet Needs To Help You Loose Weight

We all know that foods are the biggest reason for weight gain. We also know that it's not just foods, but actually what we eat, how much of it we eat and how we eat it.

My reason for this page to give some you simple food ideas that you can use or swap with your current eating habits to make big changes in your lifestyle. If you can also tweak the meals to suit you while retaining the basic idea it will go a long way in helping you stick with it.

1. Eggs. Skip the pancakes this morning. Eggs, which are loaded with protein, will help you feel fuller a lot longer. Studies show that women who ate two scrambled eggs with two slices of toast (preferably whole grain with low fat spread) will consume less through out the rest of the day. Other research has shown that protein may also prevent spikes in blood sugar, which can lead to food cravings.

2. Beans. You've probably never heard of cholecystokinin, but it's one of your best weight-loss pals. This digestive hormone is a natural appetite suppressant. So how do you get more cholecystokinin? Incorporate more beans into your diet or swap out some of the questionable stuff and replace them with beans. Beans also help to keep your blood sugar level balanced so you can keep hunger at bay even longer.

3. Salads. If you're big eater, start your meals off by eating a salad (hold all the fancy cream and cheese dressing) and drink a glass of water. In turn you will feel fuller faster.

4. Green tea. The slimming ingredient isn't caffeine. Antioxidants called catechins are what help speed metabolism and fat burning. In a recent Japanese study, people who drink more green tea with green tea catechins lost weight, boosted their metabolism, and had a significant drop in their body mass index.

I will be keeping this post updated regularly with food ideas or I may just post any new ideas in a completely new post. If you have any you would like to share you are welcome to do so in the comments. We all can learn from each other.

This covers a very large spectrum, but in the end it all comes down to one thing; BEING ACTIVE. How active you should be will all depend on want results you want and how fast you want it. Do you want a muscles? Do you want rock-hard abbes? Do you want chiseled arms and hard, toned back-side? If this is what you want then you are someone that should have a gym membership. Now don't get me wrong, this is absolutely fine. Remember is said, this blog in intended to motivate and help get people to their perfect weight and if that description above is what you want and will be comfortable with then go for it.

For most of us including myself, this is truely not necessary. For some people, just generally getting in shape and staying in shape is all they want. Now when it comes to exercise there is not a lot you actually have to do to achieve this. Before you start interpreting that as "go to work, use the stairs instead of the elevator" and you're being active, let me just say IT IS NOT. On the other hand, I also don't want you to think that you have to start doing a million things differently either.  Think of it this way; you are begining to LIVE an ACTIVE LIFE.

Ok, lets get down to it.

Walk more. When I say this I don't mean that you have to start going on mile-long walks everyday. What I mean is you should start to incorperate more walking into your life. Remember that little elevator reference I made earlier, that's one little thing right there. Let's say your sister lives two blocks down, don't take the car, walk. Find those little instances where you can swap your ride for your very own legs and in process try to find something about doing it the old fashion way that you enjoy. Something that you will by doing it anyother way. This will encourage to keep doing the one-step-two-step.

For those of us who have kids, there is no better form of exercise than just simply getting in there and playing with them. This is one of those things that even if you're not able to do it constantly or for very long periods, you feel great doing it just for the mere fact that you are doing it with your kids and bringing a smile to their faces. In return you tend to be motivated to do it more often. So get into their little backyard football matches, tag or whatever they do.

Doing all these little things and making them enjojable along the way, you'd be surprised to see how much calories you will burn without even knowing it. With all of this in mind you can really start to see that being an active person really means to just start living your life and enjoying thethings and people around you.

In my next post we will be talking about diet as a part as our lifestyle.

I started this blog to talk about weight loss, diet and overall body health.

I am not the best writer around and I beg you to forgive my abilities, but I will give you all the information, tips, tricks and secrets that I know for getting to and keeping your weight and that ideal place. That place where it's perfect for you. I do not want this blog to really be about getting anyone celebrity thin. I want this blog to be a motivational tool that will support and help you get to your perfect weight. I will also be sharing stories of people from all different spectrum that are also trying to get to their perfect weight and their struggles and successes along the way.

First of all, I do not want to eliminate any method of weight loss here. I understand clearly that what works for one will not work for all. Everyone's road to their perfect weight will not be the same. I know of many people that lost weight using extremely different methods. What I will stress on my blog however is exercise and a decent eating lifestyle. Notice I use the term Eating Lifestyle" for the simple fact that which ever diet you adopt should become apart of your over all life style, not something you just decide to try for a few months.

In my later posts I will be sharing with you my thoughts on everything from eating habits, diets, exercise, diet pills to everything in between.

I would want this blog to be a big conversation room where we can all share our stories and experiences. The little things in life that keep us all moving towards that goal we want to reach. From successes to so called failures. Let's get each other moving in the right direction, that place we all want to be and should be: OUR PERFECT WEIGHT!

Thank YOU.
